The Covance Institute, Philadelphia University, and SAS Institute Inc. are collaborating to provide state-of-the-art training for professionals interested in employment in the dynamic field of clinical research.

This six-month, non-credit program, offered twice annually, is designed for recent college graduates, professionals working in related fields, and career changers. Participants complete three distinct units--classroom training, an independent project, and a paid internship.

Program participants can expect to qualify for in-demand positions as SAS programmers in pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations.

The program is held at Philadelphia University and is offered 2 times a year (October and March) . There are 3 parts:
  • part 1 - 7 weeks full time classroom lectures and labs
  • part 2 - 4 weeks to complete an independent project
  • part 3 - 3 month paid internship at a pharmaceutical company or CRO
  • After this 6 month program, you will receive a certificate.
The pharmaceutical lectures are presented by Covance employees.
The SAS programming classes are taught by SAS Institute instructors.
