I've been one of the three in-house SAS consultants at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC for the last 12 years. Last month, one of the other two consultants left after 7 years, so we're looking for a new SAS consultant. The job includes:

.. SAS help desk support. We get about 125 help calls a month from users at all levels of expertise, and this is the largest component of the job.

.. working with clients to test and put into production new releases of SAS software.

.. testing and gaining expertise in new SAS software products, and helping to determine if they should be licensed.

.. a limited amount of applications programming and maintenance.
