college.

Qualifications: A high level of competence in Excel, MS Access, and SPSS or SAS is
required; competence in SQL programs, MS FrontPage, and Powerpoint an assest. Training
and experience in statistical analyses, including multivariate techniques, and in the
design and analysis of surveys, as well as a Master's degree in a relevant field and
experience in evaluation or survey research, strategic planning, or related aspects of
higher education administration a definite asset.

I've been one of the three in-house SAS consultants at the Federal
Reserve Board for the last 14 years. At the end of July, one of the
other two consultants is retiring, so we're looking for a new SAS
consultant. The job includes:
- SAS help desk support. We get about 125 help calls a month from
users at all levels of expertise, and this is the largest component
of the job.
- working with clients to test and put into production new releases
of SAS software.
- testing and gaining expertise in new SAS software products, and
helping to determine if they should be licensed.
- a limited amount of applications programming and maintenance.
