    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    BS degree in Computer Science plus a minimum of 2 years of SAS programming. Must have experience with data/file management using Microsoft Access, Dbase or FoxPro and knowledge of the SAS programming language. This includes data -step programming and proficiency in SAS macro programming, as well as general expertise in programming standards and accepted software development techniques. Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft FrontPage, database theory (specifically relational database concepts and SQL), experience with Unix operating systems and fundamentals of C-shell programming preferred. Knowledge of STATA and SPSS an advantage.

    Employment Opportunity - Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research - Ventura, CA

    General Responsibilities: The candidate's role will be to lead the design, development and implementation of statistical and quantitative analytical processes to improve business performance.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    The Data Mining Principal Engineer will be responsible for performing advanced statistical analysis, mathematical model development, and operations research to assist business partners in the analysis of Kinko's processes and data.

    Desired Qualifications:

    Successful candidates will have at least a Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or related field. More than 3 years of proven knowledge and experience in analysis using SAS is required. Experience in the development of pricing, inventory, maintenance, and marketing models using a variety of linear, nonlinear, convex, integer programming methods, and multivariate statistical techniques is required. In addition to modeling, knowledge of market research methods, customer segmentation, churn and survey analysis is important. Working knowledge of PC tools such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word is expected.

    Specific Qualifications:

    • Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research
    • 10 years of applied mathematical analysis in combination with degree
    • 3 years SAS required
    • Perl, UNIX shell scripting, HTML/DHTML experience a plus
