Apply marketing theory and database marketing techniques to create customer segmentation and predictive targeting models. Convey the results with internal customers and support these models on an ongoing basis
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of promotion mix models and decision support tools.
  • Analyze sales data, marketing campaigns, sales force call activity, and customer relationship programs to determine promotion impact and measure return-on-investment.
  • Consult with internal clients about competitive threats and opportunities and their likely impact on sales and promotional plans. Recommend appropriate promotion research studies, and data collection activities.
  • Participate as member of strategic and tactical planning teams.

    Education Requirements:

  • BS/BA in statistics, economics, finance, marketing, management science or similar quantitative analysis discipline required. Graduate degree strongly preferred (MBA, MS, or PhD).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in statistical analysis, econometrics, sales forecasting or database marketing.
  • Demonstrated expertise with SAS (especially the STAT, ETS and IML modules) or other statistical software.
  • Applied experience with one or more of the following multivariate statistical techniques: non-linear regression, time-series panel data analysis, segmentation (e.g. clustering, latent class, or discriminant analysis), maximum likelihood estimation, systems of simultaneous equations, choice modeling (logistic, logitorprobit), or neural networks.
  • Must be effective in team interactions in a cross-functional environment.
  • Consulting experience strongly preferred; proven ability to interpret customer needs as well as negotiation and influence skills required.

    Manager Database Analytics - NJ Pharmaceutical Co.

    Develop template and produce tracking reports to support marketing and operations managers using OLAP and SAS tools. Perform detailed end of campaign analyses and share findings with marketing management. Provide input for the design and creation of an analytic data mart.     The successful applicant will direct the statistical component of the CCP Data Center and will transition to lead the statistical core of the GCRC Data Center. The incumbent may also serve in a supervisory capacity in a data center for the Schools of the Health Sciences, which is currently in the development stage.
