Type I:
The successful candidates will be responsible for using strong analytical
skills in understanding business issues relating to product optimization
and pricing and promotion analysis. Analysts will have training or
experience in advanced statistical and mathematical methodologies including
linear and non-linear optimization, parametric modeling such as linear
models and time series analysis. Knowledge of numerical methods, limited
dependent variable problems, factor analysis and bayesian methods a plus.
Ability to program in advanced analytical languages like SAS, SPSS, LISP,
GAUSS, MATLAB preferred. Analysts will work with and advise managers in

Type II:
The successful candidates will be responsible for
using strong business and analytical skills to perform analysis on company
promotions, product and merchandizing related decisions including issues of
product lifecycle, optimal product assortment and work with large
enterprise databases. Analysts will work with and advise managers in
defining tactics and strategies and in developing reporting and analytical
processes.
Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in Business Administration, Statistics,
Engineering or equivalent required; MBA preferred. Preferably, candidates
should have knowledge of regression analysis and SAS, SPSS or related
technologies. Analysts should be innovative and display strong analytical
and communication skills.

Network Systems Specialist (SAS)- New Jersey
Provide programming support to produce analysis, reports and graphs on all company drugs.
Review program codes and suggest efficient solutions. Interact with CRAs, medical writers,
clinicians, statisticians, data management and medical affairs personnel, members of company
R&D. Serve as internal consultant or trainer for SAS programming and internal computing
systems. 3-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry-generating analysis, reports
and individual studies and ISS, ISE; NDA submission to FDA. Ability to lead group of programmers
involved in producing tables and reports for NDA submission to FDA would be a plus. Knowledge
of Windows NT, UNIX and VAX(VMS) operating system. Programming knowledge of FORTRAN, C, C++,
Visual Basic or Oracle/SQL would be desirable. Excellent programming SAS is essential. Excellent
problem solving, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Database Marketing Statistical Analyst - WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY
GENERAL PURPOSE:
To research, validate, and implement advanced statistical techniques in the
direct marketing industry in order to fulfill clients’ marketing strategies.
Support in all areas of the Database Marketing Analysis department: regression
analysis, statistical analysis, SAS programming, ad hoc reporting, database
querying, data enhancement, and the general progress and function of the
Database Marketing Analysis department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop regression equations for the direct marketing efforts of Circulation,
Continuity, One Shot, and Fundraising product lines. Skill requirements include
analysis and transformation of variables, statistical diagnostic testing,
formulation of model, and scoring application in SAS. Requires an understanding
of SAS as it relates to statistics, flat files, macros, PROC statements, SQL and
SAS programming languages.
Research, recommend and validate statistical techniques and software used in the
direct marketing industry to support Marketing strategy. Provide documentation
of technique as it applies to Marketing’s business needs, including background
theory and application. Implement techniques across all divisions and train
statistical methods to Database Marketing Analysis staff.
Provide reports to Marketing pertaining to results of regression analyses including,
but not limited to, spreadsheets of gains charts, variables in model, and
reconciliations of equations.
Provide ad hoc analytical reports for Marketing to provide information regarding our
customers and improve upon the segmentation of our master file. Requires a full
understanding of the Customer Master File and supporting databases, such as Oracle
or Microsoft Office.
Support formulation of new variables used in regression analysis, validation of data,
and enhancement of the current data used.
Work in unison with the marketing group to accomplish the desired objectives of each
mailing. Encompasses maintaining regular communication with each of the product
managers as well as the Database Systems group.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skill & Ability: Must have strong statistical and analytical skills.
Must have SAS programming skills or other related programming knowledge, such as SQL.
Education or Formal Training: College degree required in Statistics or Market
Research or other related field. MS a plus.
Experience: 2-5 years performing regression analysis. Direct marketing experience
a plus.
