SAS Work in New Zealand
Sysware have quite a few clients requiring very good SAS skills at present.
If anyone is interested and in a position to come to New Zealand or
Australia (or in those countries and available for work) for 6-12 months
please drop me your CV or send to info@syswaregroup.com. Sysware are one of
the biggest SAS QP's in Australasia. We are not offering permanent roles,
although if interested in that don't feel put off -- let us know.
We are not headhunting. We just need people at present and I'm hoping we
can perhaps match up with consultants looking for work.
Preferably you should have experience with Business Intelligence and Data
Warehouse projects.
Understanding of Project Management techniques and SDLC advantageous.
Good inter-personal and report writing skills are essential. You must have
a consultant's attitude. This involves listening, understanding the needs
of each customer, strong adaptation skills, and an open mind in order to
quickly assimilate customers' language and corporate culture.
You must be able to share information, exchange knowledge, contribute your
opinion, discuss and make decisions.
Strong SAS experience required.
We do prefer that you have the legal right to work in NZ and/or Australia.
Rate wise we usually look to pay between $NZ60-80/hour, obviously that
depends on our clients. Thats about par or above for most IT
contractors. For people with very specialised and required knowledge (eg
a data warehouse guru) the rate may be better if we have a client who
needs those skills.
Because we need people to start quite quickly, getting people who are
able to start working without having to go through work permit etc is
quite important. If someone wanted to come here permanently, and had the
skills we need, we would assist getting work permits and so on, but for
short term contracts it takes to long. 4 of our permanent staff over the
last three years have come from overseas and worked with us to get work
permits. Theres a lot of work involved, and I believe that a permanent
job offer is necessary.
