SAS Programmer III - 1742 - New Jersey

New Jersey Pharmaceutical is seeking a SAS Programmer with at least 5 years of experience working with clinical trial data in a pharmaceutical environment to provide oversight to junior programmers, participate in Study Management Teams, and assist in the development of CRFs, data validations and data quality plans. Incumbent will also lead the development and documentation of mapping specifications for the creation of standard analysis data sets, implement report specs and respond to ad-hoc requests from clinical customers. Qualified applicants will possess a BS/BA degree in a related field, a strong knowledge of SAS Macro, knowledge of clinical data processing, and a firm understanding of data and system dependencies. In addition, knowledge of UNIX and previous experience leading programmers is highly desirable.

SAS Programmer - Boston, MA

Description:

Responsible for performing analyses on clinical trial data, including listings, tabulations, graphical summaries and formal statistical estimates and tests. Must be able to assess quality of analysis data, perform cross study analyses and be able to create and use/write SAS macros to automate all of the above functions. Candidate needs be able to design and create analysis databases for electronic NDA submission. Must have a thorough knowledge of study design and NDA submission requirements. Candidate will be responsible for mentoring junior programmers in the areas of SAS coding and study analysis.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics or Computer Sciences with 3+ years of industry experience is required. Good written and oral communication skills are a must. An exceptional knowledge in SAS/Base, SAS/Macro, SAS/Graph, SAS/Stat and the ability to write maintainable, supportable and well-documented SAS code is essential.
