We all know what stores or persons that stand out as excellent, and this does come from the spirit in which they do business. This spirit comes from one thing, the attitude of doing what is right, always.
Businesses where this is not present show to be negative and without character. The owner of a business sets the agenda, much like the father of the family. If he or she is right, then that sets the tone and example for the rest to follow, or expose themselves to correction, by the contrast.
This contrast has to be present, not by pretending to be polite and of good service. Employees and customers alike know a phony when they see it and Americans have become numb to the text book customer service that corporate America has imbedded through training and shallow slogans.
True customer service comes from those who are comfortable with themselves, free of conflict, content, or naturally high if you will. This high or sense of ease can only come from one thing, doing what you know is right in all of your life, from getting up in the morning when you know you should, to doing what you are led to do immediately disregarding the thoughts that suggest "Do it later."
Then you feel right and coming through you, naturally, is the patience, honesty and respect that every customer and employee expects and enjoys.
Doing what is right = Success
